BAUMALU enamelled cast iron crepe pan
The Crêpe from Brittany are popular all over France and far beyond the borders of the country. With a pan specially designed for crêpes, French pancakes can also be cooked at home. It takes a little practice, because the very first crepe usually fails everyone!
The flat pan made of sturdy cast iron is two cm high and weighs 2 kg. Its diameter is 27 cm, the bottom diameter 25 cm. Prior to first use, burn the pan expertly by covering the bottom of the pan with 1 to 2 mm of oil or liquid butter before heating. The fat must not turn black: Once the smoke point is reached, tip the butter away quickly. Then wipe the cast-iron crepe pan with kitchen paper. Already it is ready for baking the delicious pancakes and will continue to be cleaned only with kitchen paper. Never put in the dishwasher!
The BAUMALU crepe cast iron pan is suitable for all types of stoves, including induction. For distributing and smoothing the crepe dough (thinner than the dough for pancakes) as well as turning the crepe we offer the appropriate kitchen helpers:
