Tradition and innovation: Kai Messer from Japan

Founded 110 years ago, Japanese-based Kai, headquartered in Tokyo, is known worldwide. In Japan, the Kai brand enjoys enormous popularity and is considered the epitome of masterful knives and other cutting tools of brilliant functionality and sharpness.

We are constantly expanding our product range with products from the renowned manufacturer from Japan. For newcomers, we recommend the cooking knives of the Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series manufactured in Seki City (Honshu). The well-known chef and restaurateur is absolutely convinced of the quality of the altogether 12 knife types made of corrosion-resistant Damascus steel. These premium knives allow right and left-handers alike precise cuts.

If you like the special, you should also get to know the Kai knife series Seki Magoroku Composite with handles made of light Pakka wood. It comprises a total of eight double-edged blade shapes. The creatively designed and concisely crafted knife blades consist of two types of steel: The cutting edge is highly polished, the blade back satined. Between the two types of steel runs a wave-shaped line of copper.

Another example of the perfection of Kai products is the fruit knife with wooden scabbard and cherrywood handle. The paring knife in a minimalist design has a 12 cm long steel blade and is the ideal companion for traveling. Mangoes, citrus fruits or pears can be easily freed from their shells.
