Pocket knife from France Auvergne - Thiers Ebony wood
Noble Knife from Thiers: Auvergne - Thiers EbenholzThe "Le Thiers" knife is a new development and is based on an idea of ??the old master of the local guild, M. Treille. Almost all the regions of France had, over time, developed and cultivated independent forms of the ubiquitous penknife, but not Thiers, where the highest quality knives have been made for centuries.
This deficit has now been compensated: Various "Le Thiers" pocket knives symbolize the knives on site. Members of the knights guild in Thiers can develop independent variants within the framework given by the basic form, which must, however, be approved by a strict commission.
This elegant, very high-quality interpretation comes from the blacksmith François Vachon. The polished handles of domed ebony are attached to the boards with three rivets, the stainless steel jaws complete the sweeping handle. The 9 cm blade with straight back is typical of the "Le Thiers". On the blade of stainless steel 12C27 stand the type designation and the lettering "Francois Vachon". The robust pocket knife has a length of 12 cm.
