Pocket knife from France Auvergne - Thiers Olive wood
1238/5000 Precious pocket knife by master hand: Auvergne - Thiers olive woodThe old master of the knights' guild in Thiers had the ingenious idea to develop his own pocket knife from the city of the cutlery. The result is impressive and does not need to shy away from comparison with the well-known pocket knives from other regions.
The knife art of the city in the Auvergne represents the "Le Thiers" pocket knife exemplary. Each member of the Guild of Guilds can create his own variants, but must adhere to the given basic form. A strict commission monitors compliance with this rule.
The "Le Thiers" de luxe with a handle made of fine light olive wood was designed by the blacksmith François Vachon. The polished handles with natural wood grain are held by three rivets on the boards. Stainless steel jaws complete the gently curved handle of the compact model. Characteristic of the "Le Thiers" is the straight back of the 7.5 cm long blade. This is forged from stainless 12C27 steel and carries two engravings: the type designation "Le Thiers" and the lettering "François Vachon". When closed, the knife measures 10 cm.
