Multiply wok with scratch-resistant non-stick coating.
This wok is composed of three layers: 18/10 stainless steel - aluminum - 18/10 stainless steel. The outer layers are made of stainless steel, which is a hard and robust metal. It is very easy to use, as well as clean and maintain, but stainless steel does not conduct heat well. This is where the middle layer of aluminum comes into play: as a good conductor of heat, this layer serves to distribute heat evenly along the surface, allowing for even frying. On the outside, the stainless steel is highly polished and the inside features a special non-stick coating. The black layer is a Xylan Plus coating from Whitford and allows the stainless steel to break through in an appealing honeycomb structure. In addition to the visual effect, this structure serves to ensure that metal utensils can be used in the pan without hesitation, as the interior is scratch-resistant due to the carved-out stainless steel structure.
The advantages at a glance:
- Scratch-resistant non-stick coating with honeycomb look.
- Quick heating without overheating
- Uniform heat distribution from the bottom to the edge of the pan due to aluminum layer
- For all types of stoves, also suitable for induction due to stainless steel layer
- Can also be used in the oven up to 270° C
- Cast stainless steel handles prevent heat transfer for a secure grip
- Easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher
Instructions for use
Even though the wok can withstand high temperatures, we do not recommend using the highest settings when frying. Heat the wok briefly on high and then reduce the heat to fry for better frying results. When frying meat, let it rest briefly in the wok before moving the food. Meat usually sticks briefly and releases on its own when the fibers have contracted.
Do not use the "boost" function on your induction cooktop, as it could damage the wok.
You can use metal utensils in the wok but limit the use of sharp objects.
For cleaning, we recommend cleaning by hand, as with any cookware. However, you can also clean the wok in the dishwasher. Allow the wok to cool before cleaning them with warm water and detergent if needed.
