Opinel

Famous French knifemaker: Opinel in Savoy.

The name "Opinel" is widely used as a synonym for a pocket folding knife throughout France. The pithy pocket knife was invented in 1890 by Joseph Opinel in the mountain village of Albiez-Le-Vieux. To this day, it is considered THE cult knife of French everyday culture. With us you get the pocket knife, which is also popular in Germany, in four different versions and optionally with a blade made of stainless steel or carbon steel.

In the meantime, the great-grandson of the company's founder manages the company Opinel. What has remained unchanged is the logo with the crowned hand, which has its origins in the city arms of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. The product range at Opinel, however, has been expanded again and again. The experience in forging blades and the know-how of knife making also benefit the sharp kitchen knives from Opinel.

We have three chef's knife offers ready for you:

- Opinel wooden handle kitchen knives: four types of knives and a chef's fork with handles made of beech wood.

- Opinel Intempora kitchen knives: five types of knives with black POM plastic handles

- Opinel office knives: four types of knives with handles made of wood or plastic in four different colors

The lasting sharpness of Opinel's Sandvik stainless steel blades and the safe handling of the kitchen knives are the secret of the success these collections enjoy. Give them a good care by washing them by Hand.
