Timelessly stylish pocket knife: Auvergne - Thiers Juniper
The "Le Thiers" is based on the inspiration of a local guild master, the shape of the "couteau de poche" was created by the two-time "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" -measurer Robert Beillonnet. Over the centuries, in all regions of France, penknife forms were created according to the needs of the local population. Just not in Thiers, for example, a well-known location of French knife manufacturers.
The Thiers knife stands as a symbol for the high art of the cutlery on site. Only members of the guild are allowed to design their own variations, which must be authorized by a commission.
This high-quality, robust version made of 12C27 stainless steel by Coutelier François Vachon impresses with its simple design. The handles are arched and held by three rivets. Wide jaws made of stainless steel stabilize the sweeping handle and give the blade firm hold. Characteristic of the "Le Thiers" are the straight back and the raised tip. The handy model has a blade length of 9 cm, closed it is 12 cm long.
